Bemmu.com gives Scanlators free manga

DragonBall Z Live Action!
 Nozomi Online has an interesting article about the props for the upcoming Dragon Ball Z movie. Actual filming has yet to start, but it looks like the props will be decent at least.

Death Note Filming!
 Fangoria has further information on the upcoming Death Note Live Action movie. Filming has officially begun, and the director is Shusuke Kaneko. The Shinigami will apparently be portrayed in CGI and animatronic versions as well.

New .hack series coming to Japan
 Animenation reports that Bandai Visual announced that a new anime TV series titled .hack//Roots. The show is slated for airing on TV Tokyo in April and will run for 26 episodes.

Kappa Mikey: It's NOT Anime!
 Today MTV Networks announced that it has acquired Kappa Mikey, an American made cartoon that is slated for an international release on Nickelodeon. MTV is marketing this show as Anime, which is just all kinds of wrong.

Manga on USB Drives
 I stumbled upon an old, but interesting news article today. AkibaLive reports that Buffalo (Japan) is selling trial versions of Manga on tiny little portable USB drives. This is an interesting medium for Manga, but I wonder how successful it can really be.

The Return of RoboTech!

Death Note Movie Cast
 A investigative poster over at the MegaTokyo forums has provided some info from a Japanese site about the cast for the live-action Death Note movies. The most surprising actor listed? Chairman Kaga from Iron Chef!!
