One day Sakura Kinomoto finds a mysterious book in the basement filled with cards. When she reads the name off the first card, Windy, she accidentally scatters all the Clow cards out into the world. Sakura is appointed Card Captor by the guardian of the book, Kero-chan. Along with her best friend, Tomoyo Daidouji, Sakura begins the task of capturing all the Clow cards to return them to the book.
